Tennis Cruise Ready To Set Sail With New Hall Of Famer Owen
Davidson
WEBWIRE – Tuesday,
March 09, 2010
The Sony Ericsson Open Tennis Cruise will feature tennis playing aboard the
luxurious Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas as well as at exotic ports of call, followed by exciting tennis
action at the Sony Ericsson Open.
Tennis vacations will never be the same claims Tennis Cruise founder and CEO Bob Lovinger.
"We are so excited about our upcoming event we can hardly wait and we are really thrilled to have Owen Davidson
with us" he says.
Tennis Cruise takes place March 20 through March 29 and will feature Davidson, newly elected to the International
Tennis Hall of Fame, and tennis legend Fred Stolle.
What makes Tennis Cruise unique is the venue. Participants will be able to enjoy a luxury cruise, but with a twist.
Not only will they play tennis in Miami, Cozumel Mexico, and Grand Cayman, but they will also get to play aboard
the ship itself.
Also participating in the event will be representatives from ball machine manufacturer Playmate Tennis (www.playmatetennis.com), who will be running drills utilizing their state of
the art machines.
In between, participants will participate in classroom clinics run by Davidson.
The key ingredient, according to Lovinger, is that Tennis Cruise is a vacation with a tennis theme. "People don’t
have as much time and money as they have had in the past and they shouldn’t be forced to compromise when it comes
to spending time with their passions" he says.
In addition to the Sony Ericsson Open Tennis Cruise, Lovinger has four additional events planned thus far for 2010.
